How does Save a Cup work?
It is funded by the environmental levy (which Caffeica pay on each of their cups), the sale of the recycled materials, the end products, and the bins and bags.
All used cups should be placed in the ‘Beca’ bin. When this is full, empty it into a Save a Cup bag for collection. Save a Cup will collect these for free (minimum of 6 bags).
After collection the cups are transported to the plant where they are then washed, flaked and turned into pellets. This is then turned into new products which can be bought through the Save a Cup web site.
You will also need to
register with Save a Cup and sign a mandate, so allowing collection.
How much does it cost?
- There is a range of Beca bins starting from £54.99 plus carriage. Please contact us for more details.
- Bags and other products can be bought directly from Save a Cup (www.save-a-cup.co.uk).
- Collection and membership are free.
What should I do next?
- All you need is a Beca bin, preferably at each vending point, and the Save a Cup collection bags. Bins are available from Caffeica.
